Biography

Chef Rob VanVoorhisI’m a career changer, I went back to school in 2002 and went on to graduate from the world renowned Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. I started my off premise catering business in 2004 and haven’t looked back since.


My goal for this business was to offer a more casual event with a touch of elegance and that’s exactly what we do. We travel over 30,000 miles every 6 month season throughout 10 different states to meet and cook for our clients.


As a chef I strive to use local & fresh ingredients always. I support my local purveyors, butcher, farmers & farm-stands. I love freshly cooked home-style food and thats what I offer to you.


I’ve worked as a private chef, corporate, country club, assisted living & banquet chef. I’ve had the pleasure to cook for Paul Sr., Paul Jr. and the entire Orange County Chopper crew and Darth Vader himself Mr. James Earl Jones!


I also currently work in the film industry doing food props and food styling; I’ve worked on films with actors Harrison Ford, Tommy Lee Jones, Jeff Goldblum, Russell Brand, Steve Carell, Alfred Molina, Diane Keaton, Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Rachel McAdams and many others.


I’m a private pilot, a musician and an amateur photographer, when I’m not cooking I prefer to spend all my free time with my wife Ellen and our two dogs, Abbie & Tillie.
